Xiaomi 17 Ultra vs Xiaomi 17: Xiaomi has officially launched its new flagship smartphone lineup, the Xiaomi 17 series, in global markets. The new series includes two models Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra. Both smartphones come with high-end specifications, powerful processors and Leica-tuned camera systems.
The new devices are powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and support advanced connectivity features like Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.
Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra Price
The Xiaomi 17 starts at EUR 999 (approximately Rs. 1,07,449) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. It is available in four colour options: Alpine Pink, Black, Ice Blue and Venture Green.
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is priced at EUR 1,499 (approximately Rs. 1,61,264) for the 16GB RAM and 512GB storage model. Buyers can choose from Black, Starlit Green and White colour options.
Xiaomi is also offering optional photography accessories. The Xiaomi 17 Ultra Photography Kit is priced at EUR 99.99 (around Rs. 10,757), while the Photography Kit Pro costs EUR 199.99 (around Rs. 21,515).
Xiaomi 17 Ultra: Key Features and Specifications
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra runs on Android 16 with Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3. It features a large 6.9-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,060 nits peak brightness. The screen is protected by Dragon Crystal Glass 3.
The smartphone is powered by a 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset along with an Adreno 840 GPU. It comes with 16GB LPDDR5x Ultra RAM and 512GB UFS 4.1 storage.
In the camera department, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra offers a Leica-tuned triple rear camera setup. It includes:
- A 50-megapixel primary camera with a large 1-inch sensor and optical image stabilisation (OIS)
- A 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera
- A 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera
For selfies, the phone has a 50-megapixel front camera.
The device supports 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC and USB Type-C connectivity. It also has IP66, IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. A 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor is included for security.
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra packs a 6,000mAh battery with 90W wired and 50W wireless fast charging. It also supports 22.5W reverse wireless charging.

The standard Xiaomi 17 features a slightly smaller 6.3-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 3,500 nits peak brightness. The display supports HDR10+, HDR Vivid and Dolby Vision.
It is powered by the same Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset as the Ultra model. The phone comes with 12GB LPDDR5T RAM and 256GB storage.
The Xiaomi 17 also features a Leica-tuned triple camera setup, including:
- A 50-megapixel primary camera
- A 50-megapixel telephoto lens
- A 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera
On the front, it has a 50-megapixel selfie camera.
The standard model is backed by a 6,330mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging support.
